Application Process

SARACCA Membership Application Process:

The applicant must complete and return the following forms:

  • Probationary Membership Form
    SEIFSA
  • Application Form

To facilitate a smooth application process, applicants must submit the completed forms together with the following required documentation:

  • Most recent Audited Financial Statements or a letter from the company’s auditor
    SAQCC Gas License Registration (Category B Level)
  • Proof of registration with the Compensation Fund (COIDA)
  • Proof of registration with the Bargaining Council (MEIBC / NBCEI) for all technical staff
  • Photographic evidence of recovery machines and vacuum pumps used in the business, confirming compliance with industry standards
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate

Once all required forms and supporting documents have been received, the application will be reviewed.

The applicant will then be invited to attend a branch meeting where the application will be formally presented.

The application will be tabled at the meeting, and the applicant will be informed of the outcome thereafter.

If the application is successful, the applicant will be issued with an invoice for the entrance fee and the minimum annual levy.

Upon payment of the required fees, a Probationary Membership Certificate will be issued to the applicant.

SAQCC Gas Registration Process

Applicants applying for registration for the first time must complete a Safe Handling of Refrigerants Course before submitting their application.

The completed Application Form must be submitted together with the following required documents:

 

Copy of Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (not older than 1 year – required by the Department of Labour)

Colour photograph (a professional head-and-shoulders photo taken with a smartphone is acceptable)

Signed Code of Good Practice (Page 5 of the application form)

Copy of ID Document

Current and previous work experience/duties

Copy of Trade Certificate (if applicable)

 

Important:

Applications cannot be processed if any of the required documents listed above are missing. Once all required documentation has been received, the application will be submitted for review and registration.

Applicants renewing their registration must complete a Safe Handling of Refrigerants Refresher Course before submitting their application.

The completed Application Form must be submitted together with the following:

  • Copy of Safe Handling of Refrigerants Refresher Certificate (not older 1 year – required by the Department of Labour)
  • Signed Code of Good Practice (Page 5 of the application form)
  • Current and previous work experience/duties
  • Copy of Trade Certificate (if applicable)

Payment for registration or licence fees must only be made once:

  • All required documents have been submitted to SARACCA, and
  • A reference number has been issued for the application.

Applicants may scan and email the completed forms and supporting documents.

All photographs must be submitted in colour.

Original documents do not need to be posted.

The registration or renewal process typically takes 2 to 5 weeks once all required documentation has been received.

Once successfully registered or renewed with SAQCC Gas, applicants must register for the online Certificate of Compliance (CoC) system (SAQCC COC APP).
